About
Doug Fidoten has spent a lifetime with a camera. His first camera was a roll-film Lark, purchased by his parents with Green Stamps for a 2nd grade field trip to the Statue of Liberty. From the time he had that first camera, Doug has passionately pursued photography, from the analog to the digital age. He apprenticed with George Tice, an acknowledged master of large-format photography and traditional darkroom printing.
Over the course of his professional life in advertising, Doug was instrumental in helping bring many of Canon's most important digital camera products to the market for professional and amateur users. In one of his last major projects with Canon, he helped launch the mirrorless series of cameras and lenses. Doug is using the RF series to capture many of the images in this latest book.
The Carrie Haddad Gallery in Hudson, New York, continues to represent Doug. This work, as well as many other images Doug has taken, is available for purchase as limited edition, signed prints.
